Susan’s Balloons and Blossoms is owned and operated by Susan Prather, a native of Sneads Ferry. She is a Dixon High School Graduate with a Business Degree from Miller Motte College in Wilmington. After working in government for a local township for many years and then in both Government and for the Private Sector in Raleigh she returned to Sneads Ferry to spend more time close to family. Her return brought an opportunity of business ownership through the re-animation of this local flower shop. After a lot of hard work and reassessment of the community’s needs, Balloons and Blossoms was relocated from its old location on Hwy 172 near the Dairy Queen to it present location in the Atlantic Plaza Shopping Center on Hwy 210. The new location also brought about an addition to the name with “FLORIST +” added to the signage. NOT JUST FLOWERS ANYMORE: All of the changes and additions to inventory have modified the shop beyond just flowers. The new inventory gives the residents and visitors a local shopping destination to secure not only gifts of floral designs, but many other options from balloons to collectibles. FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED: As a wife, mother and new grandmother you will always see family members when you visit our shop.
